SAPA - TAVAN - BAN HO - THANH PHU VILLAGE

Visit 10 villages of 5 different minorities.
Get started: Transfer to Hanoi Train station for the night train at 9.15pm to get to Lao Cai Station. Sleep on the train
Day 1: 4hours trekking of 12km , 3 villages ( B, L, D)
Arrive in Lao Cai train station early in the morning. Bus to Sapa and breakfast and relax. Walk around Sapa and then start from Sapa at 12pm to visit a village of the Black H’Mong ( Lao Chai San). Go through hillsides along Muong Hoa river. Take the paths across the paddy fields to get to the 3rd village of the Dzay minority and stay the night at a Dzay family in this village. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the family
Day 2: 7hours trekking of 18km and 3 villages ( B, L, D)
Breakfast and leave the family for the next village located at the foot of Hoang Lien Son range via bamboo forests. After the village, get down to the river, cross it and keep going on to Su Pan villages for 2 minorities - Red Dzao and the Black H’Mong . Spend the night in Ban Ho village at a Tay family who have houses on stilts. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.
Day 3: 7 hours trekking, 15km, 4 villages ( B, L, D)
Get up early in the morning. Breakfast and leave the village for a hard day. Walk uphill to a smallest and almost untouched village fo the Red Dzao ( Nam Toong). Go further to another village on the same side of the mountain range to see the Xa Pho ethnic group in Nam Ken. Get down to the river and go up to Mi Son to visit the Xa Pho again. Spend the night in Thanh Phu village at a Tay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner with the local family
Day 4: 4 hours trekking of 12km and 23 km by jeep (B, L, D)
Breakfast at Thanh Phu village. Walk back to Su Pan village where to take a jeep back to Sapa. On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle ( stones discovered with ancient carvings which are said to have described the life of the people lost in the mists of prehistory). Lunch on the way and dinner in Sapa . Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Sapa – Lao Cai- Hanoi ( B, L)
Free to discover the town of Sapa. Shopping at the market. In the afternoon, take bus at 5.00pm to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi. End of the tour.
